Trailer Tuesdays (02/20/18)

These animations are absolutely stunning.

The director of 2017 hit Lion, Garth Davis, teams with an all-star cast, including Rooney Mara, Joaquin Phoenix, and Chiwetel Ejiofor, for this moving story.

This is quite a different look for Sansa Stark.

From the writer of Coco comes this thriller that we have seen before. Nothing in this story seems to be unique or original, but something about this trailer makes me want to see the full movie. There is an impressive cast, which certainly helps, along with a score used to build tension in an exciting way (hopefully not just in the trailer). I will be keeping my eye on this one.

I can imagine this movie flying well under the radar. This looks to be a great character study about being in new, different places; getting out of prison and how it affects you and those around you.

The more I see of this movie, the more excited I get. It seems as if Brad Bird is in peak form with this one.

This came out of nowhere! I cannot wait to see the finished product. This “shtick” was created for commercials and has now been made into a feature-length movie. This won’t be anything ground-breaking, but it looks like it will be a lot of light-hearted fun.

I do not know much about the writer/director of this film. He had previously written Small Soldiers and Mousehunt, as well as directed Detroit Rock City. I also know that at this point in Burt Reynolds career, this is about the most perfect casting he could have. This film looks like it has a lot of heart. Also…that’s the boy from Boyhood.
